Service Project

Lourdes Academy has collected over 1000 food items for the St. Vincent de Paul food pantry!!!  Truly, God's love shines through our children's service to the hungry in our community.  Each item donated earned a chance to cut Coach Van Auken's hair... stay tuned for the announcement of the winner!

Congratulations!

On Monday, Hailey N. (grade 8) and Ryan A. (grade 7) won our team player award.  Previous winners include Stephanie Correia (grade 6), Ar'mondre P. (grade 7), Matthew L. (grade 4), Tylee F. (grade 3), Dennis V. (grade 5), Mashanti C. (grade 1), Johnny M. (grade 8), Sierra Y. (grade 3), Romello N. (grade 4), Lea G. (grade 7), and Justin S. (grade 1) . Coach VanAuken gives out this award each week to the student who best displays good sportsmanship in Physical Education classes or as a team player overall.

Volunteers Needed

Lourdes Academy is only successful because of the involvement of our families.  To volunteer in Catholic schools, you must be cleared through our background screening process.  Background screens conducted by other agencies cannot be accepted.  Please visit the Diocese of Orlando website and click on Fingerprinting.  Volunteers must also complete the Safe Environment training on the same site.  Thank you for your service!

Lunch Program

Lourdes Academy is pleased to be a provider for the National School Lunch Program (NSLP).  This program allows us to serve a nutritious hot lunch to all of our students.  Full price for lunch is $2.50 per day.  Reduced-price lunch is 40 cents per day.  All lunches served meet federal guidelines for child nutrition.

The instructions and application for the free and reduced-price lunch program are attached at the bottom of this page in PDF form.  Please feel free to print the application, fill it out, and return it to the school office.  Decisions are made within two business days, and notification is sent by postal mail.

Lunch menus are published in homemail and at the bottom of this page (under attachments) the week before each new month.  Lunch order forms are due on the Friday prior to the week in which lunches are desired.  Students who purchase lunch on the day of will receive an alternate lunch; lunches are made to order based upon orders received the day before.

Please be sure to fill out a lunch order form (attached below) for each day your child will eat lunch at school.  Free and reduced-price lunch recipients must also complete this form.  Eligibility for NSLP does not create an automatic daily lunch order.  The form below is the only way to order a lunch, whether paid or free.

We assure that the guidelines for reimbursable school meals shall not be less restrictive than regulations and guidance issued by USDA.  Please see our Wellness Policy, attached below.
